The San Diego Wine & Culinary Center was conceived as a true epicurean crossroads, a place to explore the food and wine bounty of San Diego County as well as the best that the international world of gastronomy has to offer. We work closely with winemakers, growers, chefs and artisan food purveyors to bring you the most interesting foods, wines and spirits from around the globe.

Our venue is dedicated to hosting events that are made memorable through a variety of unique food and wine-based themes. Far from the generic experience of a hotel banquet room, the San Diego Wine & Culinary Center can entice your guests with a live chef demonstration, an authentic barrel tasting, an out-of the ordinary food and wine pairing or one of our many sensational hands on wine and culinary group activities.

Proprietor John Alongé, known as The Wine Heretic, personally presents a variety of classes, tastings and seminars, demystifying the sometimes arcane world of wine and entertaining groups of all sizes. He is a much sought after speaker for corporate and private groups all over the country.

Our passion for great food, wine and spirits has led us to bring a center for culinary learning and exploration to downtown San Diego. We hope to see you here soon!
